FAQ
Do I need a permit or permission to rent a dumpster?
Depending on where you plan to place the dumpster, you may need a permit or permission from your local authorities or property owner. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or permissions before the dumpster is delivered. You can check with your city or county for more information on dumpster permit requirements.
What items are not allowed in a dumpster?
Many items are prohibited from being disposed of in a dumpster, either because they are hazardous, recyclable, or require special handling. These include batteries, tires, paint, oil, chemicals, appliances, electronics, mattresses, and more. You can find a full list of prohibited items on our website.
How do I schedule a dumpster delivery?
You can schedule a dumpster delivery and pickup online or by phone. You can choose a convenient date and time for the delivery, and let us know where you want the dumpster to be placed. When you are done with the dumpster, you can either schedule a pickup online or call us at 555-543-5062. Please make sure the dumpster is accessible and not overfilled when we come to pick it up.
How do I prepare for the dumpster delivery?
You should clear the area where you want the dumpster to be placed, and make sure there are no obstacles or low-hanging wires that could prevent the delivery. You should also measure the space to ensure the dumpster will fit. You don’t need to be present for the delivery, but you should provide any special instructions when you schedule the service.
What are the weight limits for the dumpsters?
The weight limits for the dumpsters depend on the size and type of the dumpster. You can find the weight limits on our website, or call us at 555-545-5062 for more information. If you exceed the weight limit, you may incur additional fees or damage the dumpster.
What will happen to the recycled organic waste?
Most of the organic waste will be converted into compost or utilized in
anaerobic digestion to generate renewable energy.
Does the fact that an item is biodegradable indicate that it is suitable for the organics cart?
No, a significant number of food packaging companies classify their bio-based
cups or eating utensils as "biodegradable," but the truth is that they are neither
compostable nor recyclable. These products consist of mixtures of bio-based resins and
petroleum-based resins and, unfortunately, end up in landfills.
Are plastic bags acceptable for disposal in the organics cart?
Plastic bags, including compostable and biodegradable ones, are not allowed
in organics carts due to their poor decomposition and contamination risks. We
discourage plastic liners as well; if used, empty contents into the green bin and dispose
of the liner in the trash bin to maintain compost quality.
Do the porta potties have a sink?
Our toilets don't have sinks to prevent rapid filling. They do, however, come
with hand sanitizer dispensers. For hand washing, consider renting separate stations.
Do the porta potties freeze in the winter?
We utilize a salt brine solution to prevent complete freezing of the toilet
contents and supply the urinal with rock salt as well.
Can you lock the portable toilet?
Yes, the portable toilets can be locked. The door is lockable while in use, and
we can also provide locking hasps and locks for securing the unit from the outside when
it's not in use.
Will the portable toilets smell?
Our blue deodorizer effectively manages and controls odors.
How many people can use the portable toilet?
Normally, a single portable toilet unit can adequately accommodate 8 to 10
workers during a standard 40-hour work week.
How does Property Smart service the porta potties?
Our service includes sending a vacuum truck to empty the toilet tank, and
each truck is equipped with fresh water and all the necessary supplies to maintain the
cleanliness of your toilet.
What should we do if we require the fencing to remain on our site beyond the rental period?
We recognize that rental periods may occasionally require an extension. We'll
reach out to discuss a rental extension notice before your rental period ends, giving you
the option to either schedule a pickup or extend the rental for a longer duration.
What preparations are necessary at a job site before our team can proceed with the fence installation?
The crucial element of our installation process is ensuring a debris-free area.
We need a clear space to set up our fencing, which necessitates a minimum four-foot
pathway devoid of tall grass, branches, or bushes.
Which events or projects typically require the use of temporary fencing?
Temporary fencing is an ideal choice for a wide range of projects and events, such as:
- Emergency Restoration Zones
- Restricted Areas
- Parking Lots
- Construction sites
- Special events
- School portables
- Home construction
- Home demolition
Which type of fence is considered the most suitable choice?
Our knowledgeable team will assist you in selecting the most suitable type of
temporary fencing to meet your specific requirements. Keep in mind that if your goal is
to restrict visibility, a different type of fence should be chosen compared to the one
used for crowd control at special events.
How is the temporary fence properly anchored to the ground?
We provide security clamps equipped with a user-friendly nut and bolt mechanism for effortless and secure fastening.
What’s the recommended method for accurately measuring the area that needs fencing?
